Let's pretend that you didn't mess this up on the first text. Addressing the following parts...

When this happens, don't text her again (ever). If she's interested she will text you eventually, even if she somehow didn't get your last message. You not texting her again will be infinitely better than anything else you could possible say. It's not really playing a game, it's just common sense. You asked her what she was up to tonight. Apparently she didn't give a shit, so fuck it. I should add that, under special circumstances (you're really into this girl), maybe text her in the future. Wait at least a week. This of course would be assuming that your conversation went better from the beginning than yours did.

While this seems like a nice idea, this is something you say to a significant other, not some chick you just met.

ten hours later) so is this whole ignoring my messages part of the me chasing you part, not that I mind being ignored and all,

I just dont want to bother you Boy: and I did not say that to be rude in any way, I just dont want to bother you Girl:no reply
The rest is just a train wreck. I think the main issue here is that to successfully act like you're not interested, you have to genuinely not be interested. That's why guys that try and put on a front are so miserable at it. It really can't be faked. Or at least, it can't be faked to a successful degree, or for very long. You really have to believe that she should be chasing you as much as you should be chasing her. If you don't sincerely believe that, it will show through soon enough. Reading some stupid book isn't going to solve that. It really just comes from self confidence. There is a fine line between being a dick and being desired - always remember that. Girls don't like dick heads. To put it more intimately, no self respecting girl worth pursuing would give the time of day to a guy that treats her bad. Girls do like nice guys that know how to play hard to get without being rude, immature, or disrespectful.
