I think the main issue here is that to successfully act like you're not interested, you have to genuinely not be interested. That's why guys that try and put on a front are so miserable at it. It really can't be faked. Or at least, it can't be faked to a successful degree, or for very long. You really have to believe that she should be chasing you as much as you should be chasing her. If you don't sincerely believe that, it will show through soon enough. Reading some stupid book isn't going to solve that. It really just comes from self confidence. If I even have to ask two questions in a row without her asking one back I'm over it, if they can't make an effort to prolong the conversation then they aren't into you. A chick that is even slighly interested will start asking you questions, chicks live for that shit. If they don't then bail.
