I have tried wearing db's with shorts and got a few strange looks, so don't know how far to take that. I'd be interested in trying a Quoddy moc as well.

yeah its still a little cold here in southerncal, I'm gonna try the quoddy look jet suggested as well as the bucks. Flip-flops aren't doing it for me anymore, a couple years back yeah and every mofo in socal wears flip flops.
I do think you can pull of DBs and if you get strange looks, depending on the person just look at their attire would you wear what they are wearing? I'm 23 nearing 24 oh the life lol and I dont see many people that have the same style as me. Though I'm not a baller, my closet is predominantly jcrew / that kind of style.
