Now that I think about it though, Wolverine is Canadian and Thor is Norseman. Heck, Superman is technically an alien so the only justifiable claims for America would be Batman and Spidey.

Barring their planet's destruction, I doubt they'd willingly give up his birth certificate.

Superman Red Son was pretty good. Kind of annoyed by the whole "Global United States", but all in all, good story. The ending was random, and really well done.

Downey and Bridges were the only reasons that Iron Man was any good. If you need to see how good of a director Favreau is just look at Iron Man 2. Rami's a bit camp-y for my tastes but I think he did a decent job on Spider-Man. Tobey the turd sunk those movies.

Iron Man 2 wasn't the movie he wanted to make and because of that, if there's an Iron Man 3, there's every reason to think he won't be back. Marvel doesn't want to pay him and Favreau may not want to deal with more Marvel interference.

Favreau wasn't the only one unhappy with Iron Man 2. Robert Downey Jr. saw those same problems and according to our source, "While he's locked for Iron Man 3, chances are, that will be his last movie." In the meantime, Downey will get (and probably deserves) top billing in The Avengers.
