How many designers/brand leaders really look good? Tom Ford with his huge lapels and chest on display. Flusser looking like a fat sloppy saggy chinned mess. Simon Noonan with his trademark vomit shirt. That Abercrombie fella looking like a ghoul. Old Ralph still looks decent.

Well, for a while, if you searched for A&S, you found a picture of RSS in Google Images (from his AAAC days, I believe).

I know that to be true when Googling "Richard Anderson tailor" but I didn't realize that it was also the case with A&S. But I'm not often out there googling images of myself.

EDIT: Just tried A&S ... I found photos of Luca and Vox ... but not yours truly. Well, not on the first page. I'm still first page for Richard Anderson Tailor ... with face and all.

Now back to Luca. If he comes up under Anderson & Sheppard ... he deserves this thread all to himself.

Does he miss ... or does the RTW line miss?

Just by the look of it, I'd never considered him Italian. He looks more like a Bulgarian royal. As for his bold use of colors, I don't really mind. Dressing well is a state of mind. When you start to care, you don't smile as often and begin to notice the dried grass on your cordovan wingtips.

I was thinking Yugoslavian. Reminds me of a young Prince Dimitri of Yugoslavia.

The OPs comments are pretty ridiculous and ignorant on the whole, but I do have to take issue with this particular outfit for reasons unrelated to Rubinacci's sexuality (and honestly, who cares about that...).

It seems like he's trying to wear four seasons worth of clothing at once, and the autumnal hues of the jacket (and shoes to a lesser extent) clash with the spring and summer-like colors of the sweater, trousers, and tie. I understand that "style" is about breaking and bending rules, but this seems more like piling on stuff over more stuff and topping it off with some more stuff just because he can. It's less about a viewpoint and more about "I'm a Rubinacci and I'm doing this because I can."

Both, but moreso the latter since I doubt he would wear that stuff if he wasn't marketing it. Those pics remind me of a celebrity chef pretending to enjoy his line of mass produced frozen dinners.

Ahh, that's correct -- I meant to say Richard Anderson, rather than A&S. My bad.

I was trying to recall someone on SF talking about this in another thread (could have been you, do not quite remember).

Now back on topic -- Luca rocks. No one does peacocking better than the man. Yeah, he's a bit out there, but at least he's got the 'tude to pull if off.

I've also posted several photos of a number of coats still on the hanger ... both Anderson & Sheppard and Richard Anderson. Lately I posted a photo of an A&S SB coat I wore on NYE. But I don't go out of my way to "model" my clothes ... that's not my style. That said, I don't recall seeing any photos of you ... except perhaps for the panda costume in your avatar? Fuuma, mostly I react less than positively to an obvious contempt you all too openly display toward others. It's an attitude that is so unnecessary for someone of your obvious intelligence. EDIT: Imageshack seems to be down ... otherwise I'd post a couple again. And the ranch photo -- which is indeed contextual -- was posted in jest after a member offered that he pictured me a cross between Monte Burns and Gray Gardens while wearing "mother's fur coat." Found a couple already on SF ... lets see if I can cross post. Oh, and there's a face pic in my SF profile.
I've posted several over the yrs (maybe 30-50 not too sure). I dress like this, not very MC approved. Or sometimes this but mostly black/white/grey and stuff like leather jackets or dinner jackets with black jeans and white sneakers. Nice sportcoats and suits BTW, like a lot of the patterns.

YSL , Hubert de Givenchy and many old guards designers were extremely elegant...

Patrick Grant from Norton&sons is always very smart...
