thanks in advance!

There were some waxed bombers left (dark brown color) but i think they were medium. They fit pretty small though

Thanks for the reports from the sale, Dave.

I am going to wait for a 30% off sale in Kittery (maybe next week for black Friday?) to snag a Beaufort rather than drive out to Milford to get one for $250 this weekend. Please correct me if I am wrong, but Beauforts are $350 every day in Kittery and at 30% off plus 5% ME tax they are $257. I just hope they have inventory when the holiday sales start up.

To me, this is an ideal fit on what i believe to be a olive beaufort.

Sleeves aren't too short in your opinion?

You are right. I didn't really even think about the sleeves. I did think the body fit really well though. Good observation.

I think the sleeves are really short on all of the jackets - maybe to free the hands for shooting?

Yeah, I think Barbours generally do have a shorter sleeve.
I was told that the Beaufort has the velcro wrist closure so that when you're hunting and pull your arms/gun up to shoot that it breaks away to give the shooter some freedom of movement.

Hunting in the Beaufort, yes, it doesn't feel as restrictive as the Bedale cuffs might. My velcro tabs are not fastened and haven't been ever, so they are wonky but worn in like that, I never notice them, mounting a gun or otherwise.

I think personally that the pile is marginally warmer than the quilted vest. People say get the vest because you can wear it by itself but I've never seen anyone actually do it. The pile is quasi-Patagonia fleece. They used to do snaps before they were replaced with zippers.

Kittery has been 30% off for the past week. Beauforts are $300 though and dont go on sale. The warehouse has them at $250 with no tax in NH

Thanks Dave - I dropped by Kittery this afternoon and sure enough, the Beauforts, Bedales and Borders were all labeled $300. They only had Bedales and Beauforts in sizes 46+ and the saleswoman said they had very little stock on hand (perhaps it is all at the warehouse sale in NH this week?) They did have a rack of Borders available in most sizes, though.

It looked like almost everything else was 30% off, as you said. I am holding out some hope for a Beaufort discount on black Friday though. I couldn't get any advance info on upcoming sales from the saleswoman today. But if you look back at page 4 of this post it looks like there were some deals to be found last November.

Basically, I am just lazy and don't want to drive all the way to Milford because I live 5 minutes from the Kittery outlet shog[1].gif

The thing with Kittery is Barbour HQ never tells them in advance what the sales are going to be so usually they dont know what they will have on sale or what the discount will be until a day or two before the sale starts. They also only send them Bedales and Beauforts once in a while as a favor, so theres usually not stock of them at all there. The ones there now have been there for a few months.
