We're you charged VAT as well?

Figuring out billing and VAT is not rocket science and based on their website, it looks like they have been doing this (online sales) for a while.

I bet they are not keeping the VAT either. It is probably just going to the British government.

I don't know. Some web sites state whether VAT is charged. I don't recall VAT being stated on the statement. I assume they didn't.

Edit: Checked my statement and no tax was charged. It specifies says 0$ next to TAX.

Cool just need to pull the trigger. Might go to orvis and try some on. Do all the jackets fit the same? Wanna buy a corbridge but they don't carry it...

That's the Steve McQueen Rexton right? Retails in the US for $799. Where does gilt get the $1020 from???

Gilts pricing is pretty bad considering those are old and/or discontinued models.

Thought it was a custom Sapper. Looks like they don't sell it anymore.

You can still get the Belstaff Trialmaster, it's a lot like the Barbour International. There is even a model called the Belstaff "Legend" that's often for sale at ebay and through a handful of retailers.

Unless you are concerned about getting a screen accurate Trialmaster, the International is an excellent substitute for half the price.

The Belstaff models and distribution are puzzling at best.
There are some models which are aimed at actual motorcycle riders with the hard protective plates.
There are some wax cotton models which run around $600 like what J Crew sells.
And now they seem to be trying to take the brand upmarket and sell $1500 Roadmasters at Barney's and Mr Porter.

Well put. If I were in the market for a waxed cotton motorcycle jacket, I'd go with the International. However, I have seen some very nice vintage Trialmasters at ebay that caught my eye. Vox posted a picture of a 50's or 60's Trialmaster that was stunning. I've seen some old ones where the black gives way to a gorgeous brown patina when worn in over the decades. I'll see if I can dig up the image.

Anyone seen 'Skyfall' yet? Daniel Craig wears his To Ki To Sports Jacket well, along with his C&J Islay brogues (not seen in the pic):
