Thanks. I'm 5' 6"- will a Beaufort be too long? I'll go and try them on but I'm just wondering if a Bedale would be more appropriate.

Depends on how long you want it to be.  The Beaufort is longer than the Bedale.  See if you can try on both and judge for yourself.

They are both a little different besides length.

And is the difference between Beaufort and Classic Beaufort just the waxing? Which is the traditional one? Don't want to fall for the marketing.

I am 5'5" and think the Beaufort is fine on me, except the sleeves are a little short. I prefer the longer length and the game pocket.

That looks very similar to the McQueen 'Jeffries' coat I own, except without the flag patch and button detail.  I believe that model was called the Mulholland, but I'm not 100% sure.
