interesting ... it actually lets me go through checkout.

i had already checked stuarts (i meant stuards not malford earlier) but if you go through the US.stuarts site it has this note:
PRODUCT REFERENCE: 50552
PLEASE NOTE THIS STOCK IS ONLY SOLD IN THE UK ONLY

but when i used your link, i never got that message. so maybe this works lol. great workaround. haha

i had a friendly SF user pm me so if that doesnt work, ill try stuarts. thanks for the help all

Kafka appears to have S in stock and at least let me choose USA as ship-to country.
Of course they also charge 25gpb shipping and I've always been hit with customs since they use fedex.

I got both colors of the Commander at End just a few months back when they were on sale.  Lame they won't ship Barbour to the US anymore.

You must have the best outwear collection in all of SF, therefore, the world.

I thought this might be interesting to you good folks...I am a big fan of vintage Barbours, and have quite a few that I buy and have cleaned/rewaxed by New England Reproofers. Every Fall, I try to spruce them up to mitigate a little of that musty smell that accumulates over the summer months. This is a vintage sage Bedale (with the flap pockets) that I'm experimenting with...Here are all the details:

Well if it is the former then I would be up there for the latter, though this being SF I'm not so sure.  Either way, I the Commanders went back.  I don't dislike it, but I'm not as chuffed as most.  On top of that it's a tough fit unless you're slender or tall or both.  At least that's my take.  On top of that the whole Barbour "blazer" look just seems off to me.  I'll stick with the Cabourn Mallory for that.  Too bad though because I wanted it to work.

Cool.  Are you grabbing these Barbours off of eBay or just finding them in second hand shops?  How much are they running?  How much is reproofing?  Anyway, per your blog, no, it doesn't sound like you own a bunch of cats.  Of course with all my Barbours you might want to consider the source.

Can a additional liner be added to both the "Classic" and the non-classic Beaufort/Bedale? Not sure if both versions have a zipper inside for this liner for example:

All the items with which that liner's compatible are listed under Product Information on the link you provided.  Not sure what you mean by "additional liner" though.  If you have to pick just one, I'd go with the warm pile liner.

Thanks. I'm just a bit confused now. As far as I understood these two Beauforts use different liners, correct?

http://www.countryattire.com/barbour-men-s-beaufort-wax-jacket-sage-mwx0017sg91.html

http://www.countryattire.com/barbour-men-s-classic-beaufort-sylkoil-wax-jacket-olive-mwx0002ol71-a830.html

For the second one (Classic) it says "- Internal zip allows a warm lining to be added." but not for the first one (non-cassic).

So this liner would be for the non-classic: http://www.barbour.com/eu/all-collections/mens/accessories/quilted-waistcoat-zip-in-liner/p/MLI0001BK9132

And this one for the classic: http://www.barbour.com/eu/all-collections/mens/accessories/warm-pile-waistcoat-zip-in-liner/p/MLI0004BR3130

Are there even more liners or does one of these fit in both jackets?

Will the shininess and especially the "stickiness" of the Thornproof jackets (Bedale/Beaufort) lessen after a while?

Yes, after years of wear. Its the wax dude.
yeah I'm aware of that. I just thought the sticky feel of the wax would go away a bit quicker.

Have you tried Aphrodite?

http://www.aphrodite1994.com/brands/barbour/commander-jacket-olive

Just over 330 pounds outside EU and it looks like they ship to the USA

I think they have a 10% off code if you sign up for their email too

Has anyone used Aphrodite to ship to Canada? Im wondering how much duties would be on the commander jacket? They are currently offering free international shipping. Use code: FWWSHIP at checkout.
