What color is your bedale size 40? I have a beaufort size 38 in sage I could be willing to trade
post #1967 of 2543

Green. But I'm a short dude, so I really need a bedale or something similar.

Hm. I mean if you're interested we can possibly work something out.

Anyway, how much are you selling the bedale for?

I want to buy a size 40 Barbour International Black in color. drop me a line if you have one.

Cheers!

From what I have read online and on this site, the Commander runs very small. For example, I am a 40 US chest and a XL is what would fit me. I have a Tokito horse riding by barbour and it is in a size large and fits snug. Normally I would be a medium or 40 in a Barbour Bedale or Beaufort.

That sounds kind of insane. How do you expect the Commander to fit? It's supposed to fit like a sport coat not like a Beaufort.
I wear a size 44 sport coat and the XL Commander fits fine. Sleeves are kind of ape like so beware.

Model on the Barbour page needs to get a smaller size and have the sleeves shortened.

On the End Clothing site the measurement from armpit to armpit for an XL is 21.5 inches. Even for a sport coat that is snug that is supposed to be XL. And if you are a 44 chest sport coat, I am surprised you fit into an XL, unless the End clothing site measurement is inaccurate.

Do me and the readers a favor and provide measurements of your XL Commander, shoulders, pit to pit, sleeve, length.

Thanks!

I typically wear a 36/37R and the small fits me fine, though it is a tailored fit. If you are between sizes, maybe size up, but otherwise you should be fine with your regular size.

The p2p measurements at End are messed up.
XL is 23.something p2p.
There's a seam there which if you measure you get 21 or so but that's not actually the widest spot.

I'm not who you asked, but my Barbour x To Ki To Commander XL measures as follows

p2p: 23.5"

shoulders: 18.25"

sleeve length overarm: 27.25"

sleeve length underarm: 20.75"

back length: 30"

Its TTS from my experience. I wear a medium in Jcrew, BR, etc and I took a medium in this as well. It is a little tight around the shoulders but I am a bit more athletic than some. For reference I am 6' 205 and a 44" chest.

Thanks for the measurements! Those sleeves are crazy long.

44'' chest in a Medium? That can't be right. And fwiw, I'd never consider Medium for a 44'' chest to be TTS.

Depends on the what the "medium" is.

I have a 42" inch chest and wear "Slim Fit Large" in J Crew shirts. A similar fit in regular fit could be Medium. My cardigan sweaters from J Crew and RRL are all medium. I wear a large Barbour Liddesdale and could probably wear it in Medium. I can also wear a size 40 Barbour Bedale, and according to Barbour, that corresponds to "Medium" for their jackets. Obviously 44" is bigger but he could conceivably fit into a lot of medium garments out there
