I just picked up on Ebay for $200 a Barbour International, model A577. Just wondering how old you think it is? See pics for details. Thanks!

Hi all, I'm trying to find out if anyone has purchased the Ashby jacket? I purchased one a few months ago. I really love it, however, the only problem I have with it is the lining in the sleeves and shoulders. It seems to be nylon, making it really difficult for air to breathe, thus making the sleeves almost 'sweaty' with condensation when worn.

Does anyone else have this issue?

Thanks in advance if anyone can reply to this... cheers.

The Saxony: warm enough for winter?

I'm thinking of either a Saxony or a Duke but haven't found any place to actually try them on. The idea would be to wear the jacket with casual stuff, including and up to sports coats, and during the winter. I live up north so it gets proper cold (well below freezing, think -20 C) and these claim to be heavyweights. Has anyone tried them in the winter? I would be wearing reasonable layers, but don't need a jacket that requires excessive stuff underneath.

I'm strongly leaning towards the Saxony as it's longer (looks like it could just accomodate a sports coat, unlike the Duke) and the only reason the Duke is still in the race is the available colours. The Saxony only comes in black while the Duke comes in just about all possible colours.

Edit: throw the Corbridge into the fray as well. All insight is highly appreciated.

Is anyone else interested in the Department B Commander jacket? Can't seem to find too many places offering it, but I'd appreciate any help locating sales/low prices on this. Would be my first Barbour jacket! JCrew doesn't seem to let us use discount codes for it and Endclothing is out of the L sizes.

how would you say the fit is here?
just a thin long sleeve underneath. it does feel a bit wide and big at the bottom.

You wont find much money off the Commander anywhere really. It is sold out in most places or partially sold out. The Large seems especially popular. The best I found in the UK was a 5% code off it from Psyche or a 10% off it from Northern Threads (depending if they have your size).

This is also an excellent jacket , I bought one and returned it because I managed to find by chance the real McCoy! the original Bond To Kai production with the hood, paid a premium for it though!

Buy it now as they are made in limited numbers and once gone it will be hard to find, if I were to find one at a discount I will buy it now.

I think it looks good.

One button popped out of my Bedale. The jacket is less than 1 month old. What to do? Do they repair it for free, and do I have to send it to the factory?

They all fit wide and big at the bottom - that's the look

I think yours looks good. I was going to ask if you had extra room in the shoulders, but you won't if you wear a liner or sweater (or both), so that seems like a good fit.

Make sure to buy a liner (for warmth, not the fit).  You won't regret it.

I have a Beaufort in 40 to put a liner in. Could have taken a 38, but wanted the room for liner and layering. Thinking about a 38 bedale for fall without a liner. If anyone is selling, let me know

Thanks. It feels like it fits decently well in the shoulder area. it was just the bottom felt super wide and I think it'd get quite drafty.

If I have a size 36 what size liner do I need? S? XS?

And which is the one to get? I've seen polarquilt and quilt, I've also seen one with "fur".

Has anyone heard of the Warehouse sale returning to the Milford, NH location for this season?

Get the one with "warm" in its name, the warm pile liner.
