Pretty sure its the same collar.

Look at the size of SL Bedale:

And now at the classic Bedale:

The collar looks different, IMO. It looks both longer and bigger than SL Bedale's.

I think it's just the way it's folded over and the jacket is hanging.

I only know of one store that sells barbour and they don't have many types. They have Bedale, so I can hopefully use that as a guideline.

Just bought the new Argon jacket from the Polo line. Very similar to the bedale but slimmer fit and quilted lining rather than tradition tartan lining. I rewaxed it the day I bought it because I dont like how dry the sylkoil finish feels to me. Due to that, the jacket looks closer to black than navy. This is a navy jacket with a dark chocolate brown moleskin collar. The inside of the collar, which touches your neck, is made of corduroy. For your reference, this jacket is a size small. I have a 35" chest and 34" arms. This jacket fits me MUCH better than the bedale or beaufort simply because it is cut slimmer and has much longer arms.

Looks good.  Interesting color and slim enough to be worn with just a t-shirt.

Hi guys.

I am going to be purchasing a Barbour jacket very soon and I have narrowed the choice down to four jackets. I was wondering if you could give me your input. First off I live in Iceland and the winters are usually around 0°C (32F).

I'm thinking about these jackets:

Corbridge http://www.outdoorandcountry.co.uk/Mens-Barbour-Corbridge-Waxed-Jacket.html

Ashby  http://www.outdoorandcountry.co.uk/Mens-Barbour-Ashby-Waxed-Jacket.html

Sapper  http://www.outdoorandcountry.co.uk/barbour-sapper-jacket.html?feature=p_barbour-sapper-jacket

Kenmuir  http://www.countryattire.com/barbour-men-s-kenmuir-jacket-navy-mwb0413ny71.html#freegifts

Another thing, the sizing, it's really confusing. I'm 6'2 and have a 40" chest so what would be a good size.

Thanks a lot.

I'm pretty much the same size as you. I don't know my actual chest size but i wear a 40R jacket. I have an ashby in medium and the fit is pretty much spot on. You'll need to layer in those temps, and/or possibly get a liner

I'm a 40R also. Does the Bedale fit snug? I'm looking to buy one for somewhat cold climate. I'll maybe wear with a light sweater or liner. Should I get a 38 or 40? I don't have anywhere close to try one on. Thanks.

I'm thinking of buying a Barbour jacket from http://www.barbourjacketsbymail.co.uk/ or http://www.barbourbymailsale.co.uk/

Do you know if they're reputable sellers?

A little bit of googling, or actually reading this thread would tell you to avoid those websites like the plague.
