I expect it to be a little bit longer than your average jacket, but the Bedale in size 36 actually goes down to the top of my thighs/bottom of my butt which to me is just too long. Maybe I'm crazy and should just embrace it and wear it longer? The Beaufort is actually longer than the Bedale so maybe it's just me.

When I tried on the Bedale, I think it was just a little short of covering a sports jacket, just like my Chelsea Sportquilt

Don't buy a Filson.  I bought one a couple years ago thinking I'd eschew the British thing and Buy America.  Just sold it and bought a Barbour Bedale, which is exponentially better.

Embrace the fit.  They're supposed to be longer/looser than most jackets.

Does anyone know of any US or UK retailers that stock the Barbour Short International in a Small Olive? This official site is the only one where I can find it in stock and they don't ship to US.

Hi Dave, I was looking for the Barbour Hidcote in a size XL and I saw your message back in September.  Any chance you still have it for sale?  If not, do you know how to get one?

Thanks!

Just got a Barbour x Tokito driving jacket from ebay, preowned. Beautiful coat, very similar to the Bond jacket (but probably with more features). But, two problems:

-in addition to his pictures of the jacket itself, which looked kind of brown, he posted a factory image of it in Olive. I did some research today and it turns out that Barbour made an olive one and a rustic one. He said the picture of the olive one was the same jacket, so it seemed safe to assume it was just a lighting issue making it look sort of brownish.
-The lining was listed as removable, but it's stitched in. For some reason though, there are buttons towards the bottom to secure it. Not sure why they bothered with that and didn't just stitch that part in, too.

Should I try to return it? The color is a bummer, and I was hoping to be able to wear it without a lining.

edit: Does anyone know off hand if there was a version of this jacket made without the big Beacon Heritage Tokito patch on the inside back? Because it doesn't have it, despite one of the photos of the auction having it....

i'm not sure if this helps. but looking at pictures of the ebay seller and judging by what Barbour does with bedale and beaufort, the linning of the jacket seems to suggest it is a rustic jacket rather than an olive one ( since the linning of a rustic bedale and beaufort is the identical with the picture, and oliver bedales have different linning), not sure if they do the same with tokito line tho, so might be wrong

Is that based on the color of the lining, or the fact that it's stitched in? It'd be pretty interesting if barbour made all of their Rustic jackets with a stitched in lining and their olive with removable ones.

It definitely is the rustic. I've got it in my room now, and there's no way it's brown. Interestingly, the only picture of the jacket that actually was his jacket was the second one, where it's on a wood floor. All of the others are product images.

Love the Barbour Surtees jacket but not the Barbour patch on the pocket. Is the patch difficult to remove? Anyone have any experience?

Anyone familiar with this Shoreman?  Looks To Ki To and priced at To Ki To pricing at originally around $900, but it's not listed as a To Ki To piece:

Are people still sizing down with the 'Heritage Fit' wax jackets? The Barbour website indicates these are a slimmer fit so I am wondering what your experience is? I live in a warmish climate and will only ever be putting a jacket on over a light woolen for when I am out in the winter showers.
I can see from this thread that I defn need to size down from my usual 40s/M sportcoat size, what size would you advise?
thanks in advance.

Greetings,

I recently received a Martindale as a gift and am having trouble looking it up online. Can't seem to find it anywhere on Barbour's website. Is the jacket still in production? Mine looks like the one from Orvis but does not have the 8oz Thornproof patch on the inside. Also, it does not appear to be a heavy wax.

Perhaps I received an old model? new model?

Thanks!

I have the cavendish jacket, which is the heritage fit. It fits pretty similar to the to ki to line, so i would go one size up. I'm normally a medium and have the jacket in large. It could be a little trimmer in the waist area, but the chest and shoulders are good. I've never tried on a medium though, so maybe it would still work, just be a little snug.
