Yes and no on that advice...it really depends how broad your chest and shoulders are. I could not size down on mine. 38 fit much better then 36, but the waist in the 36 fit better. I will have it taken in this summer when I wont need to wear it.

Exactly, proceed with caution.

Well you give it to your gamekeeper/gardener to wear a few seasons...

First time I read a comment that says tts.
Are you exactly an 38 inch chest or slightly above?
My sized down jacket still has some spare room around the waist but that's how a classic Barbour is supposed to fit, but the shoulders sit perfectly on me, which is most important on every shirt, SC, jacket etc.

jcrew in store has everything 30% off including barbour. sucks cuz they only carry stock of 36 and up for bedales and such

i did grab the polarquilt vest in xs. also note that the polarquilt vest is retail online for $129 at all major stores. for some reason jcrew has it starting at 110 + 30% off makes it an even better deal

MoK, I'm calling BULLSHIT on the damp cloth!  We've seen your pics.  We know the butler does it for you!  bigstar[1].gif

Anyone have any experience getting a Beaufort/Bedale on eBay?  One guy looks reputable and I have plenty of experience shopping on eBay, but just wondering if anyone has grabbed one there.

Sure you are talking to the right person?

I am from Germany.
Last time I stepped into a JCrew was years ago when I visited the US.
I got my Beaufort from BarbourbyMail/OutdoorandCountry.

Haven't had a chance to check out any To Ki To Barbours.

Curious what the fit difference is like, and also if there really is any quality difference as well between them and the originals (bedale, international, beaufort).

I havent measured in awhile but the only jackets that fit me are 38s and 39s...the 40s I own are too big, since I lost weight. 38s fit a lot better then 39s so I would assume that im a 38.

I removed the Union Jack from my Cowen and it looked awkward because of the fading so I replaced it with the Venezuelan flag. I wear a 38 even though I'm a 42" chest for a slim fit, also had the storm flap things inside the cuffs removed, those things suck.
