I was there yesterday. All they have is Tokito Quilted Blousons right now. They had a Motor Riding jacket that was missing a throat strep but i picked it up because i actually had an extra throat strap for that jacket.
I got a Beaufort a few weeks ago from http://www.bestinthecountry.co.uk/country-clothing/. It turned out to be cheaper to order this internationally, even after customs and an "international purchase transaction fee" with wells fargo, than it was to go to the Orvis store and pay sales tax. Plus it was at my door in less than 4 days. Just thought I'd throw it out there for folks in the states looking for places to buy. I went with my regular coat size and am very satisfied with the fit.
What is a good place to pick up a Barbour jacket or a place to keep an eye out for deals? I reside in Toronto so any local stores suggestions are appreciated.
I actually ordered mine from Orvis and had it shipped to a UPS store in Buffalo. It cost me $250 less than Stollery's @ Bloor & Bathurst wanted. I did have to return it once to size down though, so make sure you know your size before you order. Their shipping rates to Canada weren't very reasonable, but you'd still come out way ahead of buying it in town.
I placed an order through Amazon to get a tin of the Thornproof Wax from Orvis to rewax my International this week. I got shipping notification on Friday morning, and the wax was in my mailbox that afternoon. Incredible. Not sure whether to attribute that to Amazon or Orvis, but either way I was way satisfied.
