Best boots I can get for $150????

I have some Columbia's but I can't wear them out because they're ridiculously heavy and gaudy. I live in Wisconsin though so I need some casual boots I can wear daily. I know $150 is a low budget around here, but I also know it can buy me a quality boot. I was looking at Timberland Earthkeepers...any other suggestions?

Thorogood or Chippewa I would think. I like the Thorogood moc toe boots (if you like a wedge sole). Both should be USA made

Thanks! I didn't realize I could get made in USA boots for this price point. The Thorogoods look excellent.

Either ebay or B&S. If you are patient enough you'll find something for up to 75% off and in like-new condition. Earlier today I purchased these Alfred Sargents for $150 shipped (usually $400) on B&S: http://www.alfredsargent.co.uk/ASSho...0and%20Country. Makes it really easy to burn your money on shoes.

Not only are the Thorogoods made in the US, but right here in Wisconsin - Chippewa too! Another Wisconsin option would be the Russell Moc sales list, but most of those are well over $150, even at clearance prices.

Blundstones are about $150. I have a pair and love them. They are kind of a particular look though.

Thorogood boots or the Katahdin, as suggested in this thread. They're probably your best bet. They are not quite equivalent to Red Wings or Wolverines but they will treat you fine. Honestly, you may want to save up another 100 dollars and spring for the next batch of Epaulet boots (or this one, if they still have your size); they are pretty much the finest bang for your buck of any available option.
