Car dealership information privacy? - Page 2

I just bought a car. I can tell you the name and number of each of the two previous owners. Including their previous addresses. How you ask? Because of the service records folded up nicely in the folio with the owners manual.

This is how I came across all of the previous owners' information in my car. I would imagine it's something you either wouldn't think of clearing when you return the car, or one assumes that the dealer would do their due diligence prior to offering the car up for sale or auction.
