There are some very low res pics of my cap in the What are you wearing now thread. The construction and materials (lined waxed cotton) are exemplary. Completely hand cut and made by a traditional hatter in London. Very limited production. Barneys also has some. Usually, like 1 or 2 of a given style. Hats are bought very shallow, for the most part. I also like the Eugenia "Civil War" cap, which is something around $185. That was at Barneys Boston.
Alan Bilzerian also has an amazing Fred Bare Military cap of the same material (also $170) with a wide beak and a more square shape. Really nice, but did not fit my head/face well. He also had a brown cashmere Engineer's cap. Beautiful as well, and a (relative) bargain at $70. Again, just didn't fit my head well (I am picky about my headgear.) I think that the derby was just for the summer, but you can phone and ask. Tell them they were the caps that Fok, the Chinese dude that is always looking for new hoodies, refered you. They'll know the hats I'm talking about.
Yes, expensive. But consider that a real Stetson is somewhere north of $200, and it puts things in perspective.
