I need a netbook. I'm tired of carrying my macbook around (13" but still heavy )

what's a good cheap one? I would want something to dick around online on and occasionally take notes/type things. I'd like it to be aesthetically pleasing also cheap

damn that asus looks nice. the older model seems to have really bad battery life tho - only 4 hours. is that accuratE?

probably. they come with things like bluetooth, etc that are helpful. If I were you I'd wait until Google Chrome OS comes out...if its not too long of a wait. depends if you like windows or not. but chrome might be a lot faster.

I have this and love it:

The cool design and long battery life sold me on it. You can find them cheap if you look around.

Best netbook to go for Toshiba Mini NB305. I'm currently using it. And much cheaper to other netbook available in the market

Just picked up ASUS Eee 1015PE (single core 180gb) for $240 at BB.

Little pricier but I'd get an iPad.

I really liked this (ASUS 1215N) 12" netbook. It doesn't have some features I'd like, but the extra 2" really help get work done over traditional 10" netbooks.

I was looking for something cheap. Like $200. Why would I want an iPad?.. I have an iPhone

if you sign up for slick deals and set up a deal alert for netbooks you will find nice dells or lenovos (some may be refurbs) for around $200.

I'd wait until AMD releases the much more powerful Bobcat/Brazos APU's for use in netbooks. Blows the Atoms away, even the dual cores with Ion GPU.

AMD should dominate the netbook/ULV market over the next year.
