Poll: Do you own a three-piece suit? - Page 3

I have one Kiton navy wool three piece suit. It just so hot here that a vest is seldom comfortable.

SuitGuy24: I posted one, but it was a rather low quality picture. Personally, I like them best in solids or subdued plaids. The vest alone makes it stand out.

Several.

The latest bespoke suit I've commissioned is a 3-piece. Single breasted 3 button suit with a double-breasted waiscoat as a fun detail. Going to have the second fitting when I make time in my diary.

I do but never wear it

Nope. Just wearing a jacket and tie around the office arouses suspicion of being a flight risk (bad sign, I know), so occasions to wear are few. Even worse - there aren't enough cold months to justify a three-piece, and the warm months make even a vest intolerable. I could see it if I moved to a place that has a proper winter.

1 Navy blue in Super 120's
1 Gray herringbone tweed

Both are bespoke with a fitted vest ( without the back adjustment band ) the vest is built like a jacket, front and back are made of the suit cloth... the inside is lined in the same color as the suit is lined indeed.... they are beautiful vests...

And here it gets cold in the winter !

all of my suits are 3 piece, including the double breasted. I also have an odd vest for each suit.

My last four WW Chan suits (2 Clayton 150s, 1 VBC 130s, one heavier Scabal wool/cashmere) have been made with vests. I find the vests to be of limited practical use in LA due to the weather--there is about a four month window where I wear them, and the rest of the year I find them to be uncomfortably warm.

i just bought a 3 piece from cloak, but my dream suit is a gray 1 button peak lapel with single vent, ticket pocket, and double breasted vest!

Because I get inquiries from people trying to be witty.

Oh. I hadn't noticed.

I own four 3 piece suits: 2 SB and 2 DB

I think if the vest is fitted correctly, it does not get too hot to wear. Especially if one lives in the northern Midwest! I prefer vests with lapels.
