swung by the store this past weekend and checked out the store real quick. weather was terribly windy and pretty cold and my gf wanted to get to soho to shop so couldnt stay long

met steven and picked up some montana pitch blend for my chromexcel quoddys and in preparation for my natty chromexcel indy boots

Several weeks ago I went by Leffot and met Steven. Really nice guy, knows his shoes. Ended up getting a pair of Pierre Corthay Arca in black calf, and Edward Green Westminster in dark oak.
Tried on a pair of the Leffot unlined shell Ivy loafers, really nice shoe. I wish we had a shop like this in San Francisco.

Leffot! Surely one of my stops the next time I'm in NYC. Judging by his blog, Mr. Taffel appears to have more than a passing knowledge of his trade. I only wished he'll expand his collection to include Crockett & Jones.

There's a C&J store on 56th west of 5th. The selection pales into insignificance after a visit to Leffot, especially since they want the same price for MTO as EG and G&G :/
