How is this not already the case?

Not to discourage open discussion, but if everyone wants to comment on it, someone should start a thread to talk about manufacturing and the micro and macroeconomic pressures that affect the choices designers make. S.N.S.'s practices are certainly fair game, but let's not get too far afield in this thread.

Art in the age, has marked cardigan on sale, I just got one in Navy in a medium, thought i'd point it out, I wanted to buy one in charcoal a few months ago from Tres Bien but they ran out.

Looks like they are out of the medium now. I've been trying to find a medium Fold or Marked Cardigan in navy or other shades of blue. Anyone seen a place that still has stock? I Can't seem to find it online.

We're doing a huge sale on SNS for the weekend. Definitely a good chance to get some items for a great price. http://stockroom.inventorymagazine.c.../s-n-s-herning

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but can't find another on the forum but I am looking for any Danish clothing labels which actually produce their items there.

The only company I can find is Mads Nørgaard who has 'a range' of items produce in Denmark. Everyone else seems to have their wares manufactured in Portugal/Latvia/Lithuania/China. I do take into consideration the reality of high production costs in Denmark but feel there are consumers who would pay more to support the garment industry there. Interestingly, many of the labels think so too, using their Danish-ness to sell their product: Han Kjøbenhavn uses a "product of Denmark" label when the clothes are actually made in China and Portugal, sewn somewhere so discreet you won't be able to find it.

Stutterheim (from Sweden) even have the Swedish flag printed on their coats when the production is in Poland.

Feeling rather dejected over the whole situation. The clothes made by these labels look very nice/well proportioned and are generally free of logos/external branding which appeals to me greatly. It is the lack of transparency and "promotion of one thing then selling another" technique that seems unfair to the consumer that bothers me.
