Converse Addicts

What's the consensus around here on the Converse Addicts? Just saw an article about them on Gilt Manual. The Vibram sole looks awesome, as I always find that Chuck's hurt my feet when I wear them pounding the pavement here in NY. End up mostly rocking my Sambas for more support, and the John Varvatos somehow seem a bit played to me.

Does anyone have the Addicts? Does anyone know when they'll be available here besides buying on eBay?

Learn to walk properly. Stop "pounding" on your heels.

^^^ seriously, my heels always hurt after a day in these chucks. any good advice for cushioning?

I wear Chuck Slims with a 3/4 Superfeet insole, which allows me to walk/stand in them all day long all over NYC and wherever, with no discomfort whatsoever (whereas without the SuperFeet I can't walk ten feet in Chucks). The 3/4 insole is unique in that it is designed for shoes that lack removable insoles. If the Addicts are like the JVs, which HAVE a removable insole, you might be better off with one of the full length SuperFeet. Either way, check out SuperFeet. Available from EMS and Zappos
