Is this a FAKE RLPL?

Posting this with permission from the buyer who will remain unnamed-

Recently sold this shirt and the buyer thinks it's fake. Rather than just giving him my word, I figured I would just rely on the members here to shed light on the issue. Please opine whether you believe this garment is fake or genuine.

Tags look real. Are the buttons MOP? I don't know why anyone would fake an older RLPL shirt.

Real, just an older rlpl

It's not fake. I have seen fake RLPL dress shirts but they all had "Made in Italy" tags. This one is just an old model (10 years, or so) made by Turnbull & Asser in England.

Its his burden to prove its fake, not yours. Jeez, its the brine timers who question every little piece of shit detail on a shirt he prolly kopped for pennies, have no idea what rlpl is, and just bought it to feel cool. This why i don't ebay. Much rather deal with the tight pocketed throw you a dumb offer with no intention to buy comrades of SF. Im serious.

Looks real to me. Labels change over the years.

Exactly. OP, on what basis is he claiming it is a fake? Is it an inventory of details, or a "I don't know, man, seems fishy"? If it's some sort of 'cosmic-I have a feeling-je nais se quoi-it's fake' tell him to put the details forward or zip it.

And he would flip out if he saw the original purple label, which looks just like a blue label (but in purple).

I love those Australians and Canadians who think they'll get markdowns and free international shipping.

Sorry to rain on your parade guys, but as a semi-regular Canadian seller in the forum I have to say that I get more than my fair share of lowball offers from the Armerican bretheren. Frugality, it appears, does not respect international borders.

I'm pretty sure sho'nuff's offer was in response to this and was 99.5% sarcastic (the 0.5% as a buffer if F actually accepts the deal)
