Received this morning my cardi in hayloft. Haven't tried it yet, but it looks beautiful. Absolutely love how it looks like.
Thanks, Mark!

That's because they sold out of the shawl cardis in a matter of hours. Same thing happened the last time they got a restock. I jumped on it as soon as I saw Jet's post. Sorry, bro. :(

it isn't so much the wait... it's that i am excited to take pics and contribute to the thread. wooooot!
Yeah, it would be nice for everyone to have a Christmas miracle and receive their 3As. I can empathize with the shop, though. I've been staying up late every night working on leather orders, and even last night I had someone place an order wanting it to be sent Express. The shop has sent me a couple quick emails lately, but no usable intel on the cardis. The 44 I'll receive is actually in the shop right now, but they just haven't had a chance to send it.

BTW, did you end up grabbing those RRL Harris tweed pants? They look great.
Natural, and yes smile.gif I've been looking for a pair of HT trousers for a while.

My pleasure! I'm glad you like it.

Not sure if I've said this yet, but I'd like to join the chorus in thanking Mark for all his help in making this group order happen. I haven't received my 3A yet, but I'm sure I'll love it once it arrives, and I understand the order volume during the holiday season.

Aw, thanks man! I'm hoping everything is squared away soon.

By the way, if you guys like Inverallan, and are willing to pay a little more, you should definitely check out Inis Meain knits. They are a merino/cashmere blend that is truly amazing. My brown crewneck arrived the other day, and now my turtleneck from last year has a friend smile.gif

Nitty Gritty has the best prices, but Frans Boone Store has the best selection. A few shops int he US carry them, but the prices are astronomical.

I have been eyeing them up for a while, they look very nice indeed. The Bureau carries a few Inis Meain knits as well.

[edit] Ah, the Donegals on the Nitty Gritty site are stunning.

I have a couple of them and absolutely love them.  How would you compare Inis Meain to Inverallan?

I just picked up a loden green size 42 3a from Endclothing. Sadly its too big even though I'm 5'10" 170. So if anyone wants to trade for a 40 let me know!

Of which brand do you have a couple? Inverallan is much heavier and warmer, but Inis Meain is much softer and more comfortable (but still warm). The merino/cashmere of Inis Meain feels like a baby goat's bottom compared to the slight itchiness of Inverallan's wool. The Inis Meain sweaters stretch to fit like most sweaters when you put them on, but I find the Inverallans to be very uncomfortable after about a half hour if they are a little snug. I think Inis Meain can be sized TTS, but Inverallan is comfortable only if it is slightly oversized.
