Has anyone done it and is Platinum, Gold or Red the class to go on?

Done the Indian Pacific in a sleeper. Totally worth it.

Sorry mozby but you have to travel all the way to Adelaide in order to change services. The Indian Pacific arrives in Adelaide twice a week on Friday and Tuesday mornings. The Ghan leaves Adelaide twice a week on Wednesday and Sunday at 12:20pm. Looks like you might have to plan at least one night in Adelaide.
