Reasonably priced slim fit work attire

Thread Starter
Being 31 years old, this is my first job where I have to "dress" up. But I want to stay stylish at the same time.

I am looking for some reasonably priced slim fit button down shirts and slim fit slacks.

Any suggestions on stores or websites? I'm in the San Diego area.

Thanks!

What do you consider reasonably priced? And how slim are you looking for?

Suits: Corneliani ($500 - $700) at STP or C21.
Isaia ($900 - $1200) at STP or C21.

Shirts: Brooks Brothers Slim Fit - $75
Charles Tyrwhitt Fitted - $40 - $80
Polo Custom Fit - $50-$75

The Corneliani suits aren't a super slim fit, but strike a perfect balance between being fitted and being appropriate for work. Isaia fit a little slimmer, but are more expensive.

Brooks Brothers Slim Fit and Polo Custom fit a little bigger than CT fitted, but they're all half way decent. None of these shirts have the crazy luxurious fabrics, but they still get the job done.

For shirts, you can also go custom over the internet from Jantzen or mytailor.com. Jantzen shirt will run you under $50, and a mytailor.com shirt will run you about $75-$100.

The John W. Nordstrom tailored fit isn't bad ($89). Nordstrom also has a cheaper house brand if $89 is too much, but the fabric isn't is nice. With regard to Odoreater's BB suggestion, they're having a sale on the website for 3 for $189. You might also want to check out the clearance/overstock sections for Lands End, Jos. A Bank and Paul Fredrick. Not necessarily the greatest shirts, but a decent value on sale and they all have pretty good return policies. If your looking to build you wardrobe fast, they could be good options. If you want try the Tyrwhitt shirts, click the link below, it will provide a 50% discount rather than the 25% you'll get if you go to the website directly. http://www.ctshirts.co.uk/pine For pants, you might want to try Incotex. There are some fantastic deals from Chorse at this thread if he has anything left in your size. http://www.styleforum.net/showthread.php?t=21731 And, Lance at www.virtualclotheshorse.com just got a lot of new Incotex pants in. In any event, when looking for pants that have a slim fit, think flat front.

Personally I like the idea of Boss Red Label, found on sale in Boss boutiques or discounters. They offer a fairly stylish slim-fit alternative, although I would avoid their fused suits. Their trousers/shirts are pretty nice and fairly affordable IMO.
