Heaven help me, but I'll never understand these hyped up viral campaigns...

I don´t need any advertising to go see a Spiderman movie, but I like what they´re doing. They´re rebooting the franchise, giving the story a different twist and departing from the previous saga. It´s ok that they´re showing of all of this to get the non fanboys to go see it.

I´m guessing that the last scene form the trailer, the one with that tower falling down is to show us Spidey running out of web on his shooters.

They showed a 4 min extended trailer during America's Got Talent tonight. That scene on the bridge was enough to sell me on it......awesome.

icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif Sick preview! If it wasn't for Dark Knight Rises and Prometheus coming out this summer, this would definitely be my most anticipated movie of the summer.

The only new footage was the bridge at the start. The rest is cut from trailers we have seen before. Still looking great. I love how the police hate him, as it should be.

Sony is pretty much contractually obligated to keep making Spider-Man films. Otherwise, they lose the rights.

Not wanting to open this can of worms again, but the point is they didn't have to make another origin film.

Here here for retconning!

^ I hear they are bringing Mephisto on-board for that very reason. Tobey and Kirsten allegedly filmed a scene together.

I'm completely OK with Sony making more Spider-Man films. They can even "reboot" them so all the villains (like Green Goblin and Doc Octopus) would be available for use again. I just don't need another film explaining his origins once more. It wastes screen time and as you said the old films are not that old. Everyone remembers how Parker got his powers.

Like I said before, it seems like they are going a different route with this one. He isn't just in a field trip when a radioactive spider bit him, seems like his parents might be involved in one way or the other. I just think it's perfectly fine if the new origins is completely different from the first origins. Him getting his powers or how he obtains it might have some significance with the story later on. I say we just wait to see the film and decide then if it was a good idea or not.
