The first person view of wall crawling/web slinging is pretty cool.

^ Merci!

My thoughts:
- Although I'm still not on-board with Emma Stone as Gwen, both leads seem to have great chemistry.
- Speaking of which, Garfield seems to fit the role of Peter Parker quite nicely.
- I see special effects haven't advanced much since the first Spider-Man film. If your shit already looks like a video game, utilizing a first-person POV only enhances the problem.

I really don't want to sit through the origin again.

It only looks like a video game because it's shot in a POV style. But I wouldn't be surprised if this shot wasn't to be used in the movie itself. The way it's done just makes me think it was cooked up specifically for the reveal at the end of him swinging towards the screen. Set photos seem to indicated that there will be a lot of real stunts being done, with a minimum of CG involved.

It looks like they are going for darker spiderman which I really don't mind. From the trailer you get hints that his father worked at Oscorp (photo of peter's dad and curt connors near the bag scene?), the weird voice that says "do you have any idea who you really are?", "ready to play god?" - connor, and the last line "the secrets we keep and the secrets that are kept from us" all seem to indicate this spiderman may have been an experiment since he was young. Would make sense if his parents just left him with uncle ben and aunt may when he was a boy? All this is just fan boy speculation of course icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

+1000 When will Hollywood realize we dont need countless origin films? Everyone knows the story. Move on and move the story forward. Telling an origin again is a waste of time.

Plus I liked Toby better.

I suppose this emo peter parker's not as witty/talkative like in the comics

I hope there's more humor to it than it looks like from the trailer. It's weirdly dark for Spider-Man. Hope the franchise hasn't been Twilight-ized.
