how many men through sheer ignorance or willfullness or both, are willing to destroy nice things rather than learn how to treat them properly.' This is a statement of fact, pure and simple. Believe it. You, personally are making an effort to learn and that is good, so please try not to be so self-concious. The best and only way to protect leather footwear from salt, is never to expose your leather to salt in the first place. There is no better way. Your words I have quoted in
