You can get a reservation outdoors at Mon Ami Gabi across the street in Paris, and get one of the best views of the fountains (which is by far the best "free show" on the strip).

I don't think they take reservations for the outdoor tables.

Yep, we also were fighting sleep during O.

I'd agree about not confining yourself to one hotel, but don't try and see everything.
You just end up spending too much time walking around and it's just not worth it. It takes away too much time from drinking and gambling.

He just listed like 800 places to buy overpriced beef.

Only place on that list I know of that I would go back to is RM Seafood. The rest of them are pretty much all the same.

Guests only. There's a "viewing terrace" where you can go outside and kind of look at the pool as a whole but you need a keycard to get into the actual pool area. I think some of the smaller pool areas at the Venetian Venezia towers you may be able to just walk in and use the pool but the main one you can't.

I'm staying at the Bellagio next month. I normally go for dumpier, old school places, but I'm going to hold my nose and stay there anyway. I'll probably just hang out near the fat people at the buffet and pretend I'm back at one of my favorite downtown places.

Fancy people give me hives. I walked into the Wynn once and couldn't sleep for a week.

Don't worry. The Bellagio will remind you very much of your dumps. It's well on its way to becoming one. Not a sawdust dump as you told me about previously, but a dump in its own right. Kind of curious that a man with 8000 posts on a forum dedicated to exclusive menswear would be afraid of "fancy" people. It's a funny subculture on this forum, the people who on one hand admit to spending fantastic amounts of money on things, but in another post go out of their way to seem provincial and of humble means.

I am an enigma. Your information about the Bellagio is welcome news however. I've always thought that if they paved over those fountains it might almost be large enough to install a NASCAR track out front. Perhaps I'll suggest that when I'm there next month.

That place is a rip off! I hear you just eat whatever crap they put in front of you...and then over charge you!

Mark, if you want some fancy people recommendations, I'm your man. Don't worry about Bellagio. You could easily fit in wearing your Dale Earnhardt Jr. sweat pants and a fanny pack.

This is excellent news. One of the many things I appreciate about Las Vegas, along with titty bars, surly waitresses and the ever-present odor of dispair and hopelessness, is the ability to engage in experiences outside of my comfort zone.

I appreciate your offers to help me out. Keep in mind though that I'm no stranger to fine dining. I've visited most of the Sizzler locations in North Texas and southern Oklahoma and they know me by name at Applebees here in Plano. So while I doubt that any of your "fancy" places can beat that, I'm willing to give them a try anyway.

FYI, my oldest son is named Dale, Jr.
