Batman: Dark Knight Rises (movie thread) - Page 153

I didn't think it was bad. While it's not what I would call a good film, people are harder on it then it deserves.

Long before. I believe it came out in '98 - '99.

I haven't seen the director's cut yet, but I hear it is good.

Speaking of Daredevil, has anyone seen this reel that was recently released?

Finally saw it yesterday. Worth the wait seeing it in IMAX in Lincoln Square, sitting dead center with less than 20 other patrons in the theater. Also helped that I went by myself. Although Caine had very little screentime, every time he talked I wanted to cry shog[1].gif

The Daredevil directors cut was significantly better than the original but not "great" by any means.

Still, if you're feeling charitable, give it a watch.

It's now my f 13 y/os favorite. Over Avengers, Hunger Games, and Avatar.

the dark knight rises is currently at 1.005 billion dollars world wide, passing the dark knight by 3 million. The avengers hit 1.5B world wide eek.gif

it's wack that batman begins made less than $400k. it was just as good if not better than the other two.

Yeah, but I think the populous at the time weren't keen on a Batman backstory. That, and the fact the villains in Begins were not well known to those not well versed in the world of Batman. Had Begins started with Joker, it would have groosed way more.

I'll admit, I never saw Begins in the theater. Waited till DVD, and even then I was skeptical going in. After first viewing, I was blown away.

dont forgot to factor in the HUGE rise in ticket prices since the first one, especially 3D and imax.
