Ah, yes, and with such sound reasoning as given in the article it's all made suddenly clear. I can't tell if that article is making fun of the people complaining about the plot holes or the people defending them.

You clearly need to reread it then.

I rewatched the first two movies over the last two nights. They were very enjoyable to watch them again in the context of TDKR. They fit very nicely together.

Oh, and I like the Bale Bat voice.

If I had to pick a big gripe about these movies, it would be the casting of Katie Holmes and some of her hammy lines

At least Katie Holmes is slightly nicer to look at than Maggie G imho.

I liked Katie Holmes more than Maggie G.

The fighting style Batman uses in both fights are completely different. In the first encounter Batman treats Bane like an ordinary thug and thinks that his tricks and hiding-in-the-shadows ploy is more than enough to work. A great example of this is when Bane turns around and grabs Batman out of the darkness before us, the audience, even realizes that Batman is hiding there.

The second time around there's no fancy movements, it's just a straight up brawl in broad daylight where Batman focuses more on Bane's "weakness" (his mask) rather than wasting time trying to throw smoke grenades and whatnot. I don't see how people can whine about the fight being overly simplistic when the first fight clearly demonstrates how fancy tactics and tricks don't work on Bane.

Don't get wrong, I'd smash both, but Katie Holmes is def better imho.

It's just not looks, Katie Holmes seems like a dumbass ditz (she married Tom Cruise, after all) and Maggie seems intelligent and shit. That counts for a lot. Plus, I like pretty-in-less-traditional-ways girls like her. Maggie probably fucks way better, too. Arty girls usually do.
