Suck. And the people who greenlight this shit should be taken out deep into the woods and disemboweled with wooden cooking spoons. That is all.

That is all.

Is there a specific US remake you are referencing with this post?

All of them. Each and every one of them have sucked. Most recently - Being Human and Skins. Both are an abortion of epic proportions.

Agreed! A good example, Coupling, which was one of my favorite british comedies. The original always made me laugh until I had tears in my eyes, the US remake on the other hand, was an absolute disaster.

In many cases the Americanized versions aren't good. AB Fab was horrendous, Coupling Sucked. There have been exceptions - Sanford and Son, Three's Company, The Office have quite successfully translated. I'd like to see an Americanized Nathan Barley, although they'd probably make that suck as well.

Watched the first few minutes of the American Skins. It lost all its flavouring.... the UK version was just great, this was...painful.

On the other hand, watched the first episode of Being Human (US). It's not bad, the vampire annoys the hell out of me, but it has some potential.

You know what they do in the UK when they think people might like a US show?
