American Apparel - Page 2

I'm 5'11 also, have broad shoulders, and most of the guys size small tees are too long on me, too tight in the armpits, and too baggy everywhere else. The fit of each t-shirt can be alot different too. My solution to get a good fit was buy womens size XL and try on 2-3 of the same shirt.

Like I said previously,

I find the length perfect. I have a "long" body and american apparel fits just right. Usually the length is a big issue.

I haven't had problems with my AA shirts (polos and Ts) after several washes. I'm 6-0 at 165 lbs, and the mediums work well on me: not too tight, and not a big bag either. I really like the lengths, too: wearing a 32x32 Nudie RRDS, the AA polo's bottom hem will hang at least 4 inches below the top of the jeans, which is great for me because I tuck my shirts into my jeans.

I think what may help explain the sizing it that they may have re-sized a lot of their shirts. I used to be a size Large and that fit me perfectly.

But I recently bought a new T-shirt from there in a Large and it was noticeably bigger, even after a wash and dry.

Yeah, I noticed that too. I bought the '2001' t-shirt a few years back in large and it shrunk down to a perfect fit. I recently ordered a few in large and they are all really long, covering my pockets which I hate.
