My last name is Italian for "Redhill" or "Red Head". My mother's, although they're 100% Italian, is Spanish "Dondiego". So back in the 1500s when our family "appears" in the records of the mountain town in Basilicata we're from, we were either Spanish landlords or Spanish Jews hiding from the Inquisition.
