Red Wing's Shoes Proper Care

Hello all.
I just got my new Red Wing Leather Work Boots from gilt.com. When i have receaved them, my first question - how to to make a threatment on them.
When i visited the official Red Wing site i was very surprised, when i didn't discover the model of my boots. Since i am not a specialist on leather types, i couldn't determine the leather type by myself.
On the boots themsef there is no noticeable information about the model/leather type, above the 4587 number (i don't know what that number means). I neither found any threatment recommendations on gilt.com.
In that case i would like to ask for an aid in determining the leather type and after that i would like to get the information, how to organise a threatment process on them.
Below i am posting the photo of the boots and the photo of the threatment instruction, which was attached to them.

word. i also ordered those boots from gilt and its as if they don't exist, i can't find them or information about them anywhere.

we've gotten a lot of snow over the past three weeks in NY and i want to treat and protect my boots before the season truly takes its toll but i have no idea which products i actually need to use.

I know don't what exact model they are, but does it really matter? Just get some leather treatment/waterproofer and put it on them. It's a heavy-duty work boot - you're not going to hurt it by treating it. It might darken them a bit, but that's par for the course with most waterproofers.

Bump. Anybody else can recommend something?

Try posting in the red wings thread rather than bumping your own post. If nobody cares it's probably because it's been asked and answered before. Also -- Gilt sometimes puts up models made specifically for the website, so they aren't found elsewhere.

Among others there is one about 70 pages long called "red wing boots."
I know that might be a confusing title.
But that is where people post about red wing boots.
