hey guys, I just checked out using the code "heatproof30". You input it on the last page of checkout. It should still be working until about 9:20 - 10:00 pm PST (I got the email at about 9:45 AM PST, and it said the sale lasts for 12 hours).

Edit: It's a 30% off sale, which makes the pants a good deal. Also, the email said "through Friday" so it may only go until midnight EST.

If someone doesn't buy them soon they will be tailored into shorts for myself.

For some reason I'd skipped this post, so great news on the cut, but wait? pine gray is actually lighter than outlier slate grey?

I have og's in slate grey (mid grey with a blueish tone) and navy (but its a lighter navy, between slate blue and true navy imho), and I'm looking to get nomads in whichever color would not seem too similar to either of the aforementioned og's,,,, your thoughts? tia.

Holy shit,,, love it!
Did you get this coupon when signing up for the newsletter or just ramdom?
I havent signed up so wondering if I can wait for color confirmation or if I need to jump before that deadline.

I signed up for the newsletter last night. You get a 15% off code for signing up. Then, they randomly sent the 30% off email today.

Edit: This code is for Proof NY, not for Outlier. I just put it in here because we were discussing Proof NY. Sorry for any confusion.

Yes. They are nice, good fit, kind of loses some softness after a few washes. Not worth $98.

Call me crazy but for a similar yet cheaper t, I really like Lulu Lemons 5yr Basic T's

^ no problem. I'm glad it worked out.

For the Outlier Climbing pants, are they as light and breathable as the OGs/Nomads? I like that they are slim cut, but I need to be able to wear them in warmer/humid climates without overheating. Thanks.

Yes, same percentage of all materials.

On the topic of backpacks: I like Mismo and I like that they are Danish (as am I) but they have yet to produce a backpack that I would like on my back more than any/every other backpack in their price range. I do like their duffles and wallets though..

Hard Graft has a new messenger bag (which can feasibly be worn as a backpack but I wouldn't) that I kind of like. I had my eyes on a MMM bag but it doesn't have much internal structure. I could possibly get a smaller leather laptop/messenger bag that would fit inside the HyperCity..

Also, I do like brand cohesion: Outlier's bags look great with Outlier's clothes. If I were to focus my future purchase on a single brand, it would easily be Outlier.
It's sold out now, anyway..

On the topic of Supermarines: I've been wearing mine hard since October and the white side taping is slowly but surely coming off - particularly at the stress/crease points. If Feit is able to repair that I'll likely be sending them over in 6-8 months: once their farther gone. That said, they are incredibly comfortable and I wear them without socks. I might post pictures eventually..

On the topic of Proof NYC vs Outlier: I refuse to buy anything from Proof. It seems to me that they directly copied Outlier.

Outlier did the preparatory hard labor by:
- Creating a quality product.
- Building a customer-base for the product.
- Presenting the product in an appealing way. .
Proof has worked off of Outlier's important preparatory labor and has done a cheaper/poorer job of presenting Outlier-originated products without Emeliano Granado-quality photography. Thus allowing them lower prices than Outlier. I don't like counterfeits. If their stitching is better than Outliers, tell Outlier. I would rather support Outlier and see them improve their product than fuel posers.

Don't get me wrong, I think competition is a good thing. I'm all for most other brands that engineer "tailored performance garments." Brands like Nonetheless Garments, Mission Worshop and Rapha are great because they each (at least) have originality in their stuff (as well as excellent products). You don't need creativity or originality to directly copy somebody else..

The guys at Proof may be real nice guys, but this is the vibe I get from them.
