I'm about 2 months back into lifting (only had lifted about a year beforehand) after a 4 month hiatus, working back towards my personal best. Today i managed 275x5x3. I was pretty excited.

On a side note, as a PSA, could you dudes who do deadlifts please switch over to any other leg exercise? 700+ pounds isnt so impressive but sure does take up a lot of 45 plates i could be usin!

Today is my leg day....I go heavy on legs and will probably start, after warming up the legs on the leg ext machine, at 225 x 12, go to 315 x 10, and finish off at 405 x 8. Not bad for a 225 pound ex-rugby player. I once had the idea to go for 500 but decided that doing reps at that weight only provided more opportunity for injury.

supersets are what skyrocketed my progress. but I've been doing this for about 6 years now but still there was a period that every time iw as going to the gym i was adding 5 pounds to my max deadift

take what you can do 10 with. and just when you do 10... grind the hell out of 10 more, someohw. generally takes me about another minute and a half to two minute to get those last 10 in and by the time i'm done i want to cry lol.

Today I saw why you always, ALWAYS use the safety bars for squats: Guy was squatting something mid 200s, stepped forward to re-rack the weight, and knocked a pin off of the uprights. So he stepped back, and squatted down to the bars.

Eh i guess this might be the place for it. How do you adjust the clothes you pick to accommodated a large ass and thighs squatting gives you? I started olympic lifting 8 months ago and I squat multiple times a day three days a week, needless to say my lower body is disproportionate to my upper body... sorta a silly situation but still.

I'm still trying to learn how to deal with this, pant fit is easily the weakest part of my game. I've been actively fighting hypertrophy in my legs the whole time I've been lifting, but they grow too damn easily compared to the rest of me, especially my calves. I got up to 18.5" calves at one point, just stupid. The ass isn't too bad, just get a larger waist size and have it taken in. I do get pulling in the crotch too often, damn thighs.

Yea, I've went from slim fitting pants to a Levi 501 style fit. I also learned that any boots with heels, like desert boots, is a no go because they elevate the heel thus making the bum stick out.

What the fuck is this? Do you walk with your hands or simply swing from tree to tree using vines.

No trees, I just do 23 pullups x 3

You should see my fellow Bros gasping when I do 5 x 70lb weighted pullups

Very impressive numbers... for a wheelchair bound guy.
