Yeah, those look like dress brown to me. Great leather, probably my favorite from Whites.

Ordered from Baker 8 weeks ago. Still nothing. He kept saying it will be a few more weeks before its done. Best you buy direct from Whites.

That is strange. I've ordered direct from White's and through Bakers and both times service was excellent and fast. Longest I waited was around 6 weeks I believe, but maybe this is a busy time of year for them. Delivery times definitely fluctuate with order volume and White's have been getting more and more popular it seems.

I just spoke with Kyle from Baker`s actually and I guess my order has been sent to White`s already. I`m gonna have to hit him up for a pair of Alden as well

Its a custom pair of boots. Be patient, the wait is well worth the reward. I'm sure you'll be quite pleased when you finally receive it!

I have no doubts about the quality as this would be my second pair of Semi Dress. But 8 weeks going to 9 weeks now is a bit strange. I just hope theyll arrive in 2011.

As you can see from Kyle's reply on here - that is customer service! They should take care of you after the sale not just before you buy it. I hope you get your issue resolved and as he said, the factory is quite busy at this time of year. Keep in mind things are going to be slow around the holidays. White's has such a reputation on SF, I'm not surprised they're backed up with orders. It should have arrived by now. Talk with Kyle and he'll see what can be done. Good luck!

so this classic last is narrower on the tip vs. a standard semi-dress last? Also looks like it points up a bit from the side.

If so, I wish I had known 3 weeks ago when I placed an order on my semi-dress with the standard last though I supposed the standard last is not bad at all
