@cathpah , serious boots there!

Thanks for the laces feedback. Like most folks, I've always liked the look of the leather laces on black boots, but I take andy b's point about the old school workboot look you get with the black. Both are good looks, which makes it hard to decide. No doubt I will switch back and forth..

Beautiful boots, @cathpah

Midsole color looks great...you inspired me to e-Mail Kyle to have the same treatment done to mine, which should arrive in the next couple of weeks...

As promised, here's a full album of my new White's 9" BHs in #8 CXL.

Those look great! The 9" height works well, and doesn't look awkward the way the 7" boots sometimes do. Also, the block heels are really kept in check, unlike a lot of them that extend a good 3/16" out. Has the toe box of the distressed pair flattened out with wear, or are they soft-toes?

Nope...those are single celastic as well, so I guess they've just flattened a bit with wear and abuse.

For anyone new to ordering White's, I put together a bit of a guide over on /r/goodyearwelt. It's a work in progress and I'm sure I made a lot of mistakes (feel free to point those out), but hopefully it'll be helpful to some of you.

^ excellent work! Good on you!

Man I remember how confused I was when I started learning about how to order... A guide like this would have been priceless!

I ordered some of the now "in"famous Huberds and tried it on some RW boots this weekend. It darkened them significantly. Here is a pic of my White's false tongue with half treated (once) half not

Just thought the pic might be informative for those like me with little treatment experience.
