THanks for the pics. and that is an awesome tree house in the background!

Thanks!  Built the treehouse for my daughter 10 years ago, when she was 5.  I said, 'we'll paint it whatever color you like,' and she said 'dark purple and light purple,' so there it is!  A little worse for wear these days...

Just curious what boots are in your avatar pic?  Aldens?  But what build?  They look very cool.

Linafelt, thx again for this information. Pretty much exactly what I've been searching for for months now (for reallz). The 110 last looks about as close in profile to the SD last as anything I've seen, tho with a slightly slimmer toe box.

Again good looking out, brother

(Now, if only you had a pair of SDs with a lowered block heel and double leather soles, as well as lowered Cuban heels with 269 or 700 soles!)

Cool!

The SDs in the pic are for trying on for size. If i order a pair to keep they will be to replace the Vibergs, and will be either HH or CXL w/ lowered block heel and captoe, probably 269 sole.

They are indeed Aldens, however, all credit must be paid to SF member "Thor".  They were his MTO when Alden still had the program.  If I'm not mistaken, they were one of the last MTO'd pairs Alden did, period.  A group of members banded together to have Alden DC commission a run of them, however one year later, the order has still not been confirmed and the pre-order list has long since been closed.  If they come to fruition, that's great.  If not, well, I've been living without them thus far, I'm sure I can continue to live without them.

Got two pairs of White's that I'm thinking up.  One is basically this:

...which I will use for hunting.

The other will be a classic work boot, probably also brown smooth w. antique eyelets/hooks, composite sole (full, not half), single celastic, but still working out a few details.

Single/Double Midsole?

Brown/Natural Edge?

Cuban or block?

Lowered 1/4" or not?

This one will be for more general use/wear.

Any input welcome.

Ben, the top ones indeed do not. They're the first cap toe non-celastic whites I've seen to date and I can't wait to hear from EastWest on how they wear (nudge, nudge, wink, wink wink.gif )

I know the exact pair these are then! Basically a cap toe Pitt Boot in cigar shell with double oak soles, right?

Something like that.  THey aren't the LS Cigar Jumper, if thats what you are thinking.  Those were on TB, these are on Barrie (like the Pitt, as you mention)  360 Storm Welt, Antique edge, All matched eyelets, Double Waterlock, if I'm not mistaken.

That's about as perfect as Alden's come IMO- congrats!

THanks, and again, all credit to Thor.  Save the congrats for if I am ever able to get a pair.

B-ewing, cheers for the reference as always. I didn't go for a pair of the non celastic caps myself but have sold 3 pairs to date so at some point in the next couple of weeks will cheekily ask for a photo/ some feedback on how the cap toe holds up but in terms of feel, because the rough out is fairly heavy weight and you've got pretty much triple leather with these (they're lined) you barely tell the difference between soft and celastic toe when pushing the toe down. I will feed back soon.....

Well my semi dress arrived and so far the fit seems to be excellent.  There are the plain jane models in standard brown dress, the only modification was a lowered heel.
