Custom White's Boots ... Thoughts? - Page 174

I know this has come up before, but can anyone tell me the height of a Whites block heel, lowered by 1/4 inch, whole heel measured at the back? Also, would different soles affect heel height?
yes absolutely. do a search for height in this thread for comparo pics

Hi Tod, the heel height varies a few mm here and there depending on sole choice but also as I've found on stock boots, who in the worshop is doing soles and heels that day/ week. I'll post some comparison measurements this eve.

I manage to fit in with thin sock..my toes are fine, only the narrow width make it a lil bit weird to tie the laces..probably to to stretch them first using shoe tree and mink oil..

My first pair of White's:

Black Roughout/Black Dress. Vib 430, close trim, no celastic toe. The Arch-Ease is going to take some getting used to, but I'm really happy with these.

Ah, sorry, man. Standard height Cuban heel. Thanks!

These are a strong argument for close trim IMO. Gives a bit more of a sleek look, especially with the narrower profile of a soft toe. Great job man- Wear the snot out of em:)

Are the states having a holiday now? It has been a few days since Kyle/Brandon replied to my email.

I contacted them about my incorrect boot options but I could live with it since those options are somehow what I wanted too.

So instead of sending the pair of White's through and fro, I suggested for a pair of leather laces to replace the nylons which will be good enough for me.
It has been a month since then and I have yet to receive the laces.

I couldn't call them because I don't live in the states.

help?

Nah, they're there. I just sent and got an email reply from Kyle today... Maybe worth a long distance call??
