Kindred spirits smile.gif And any idea of the thickness of the sand suede compared to the roughout? Ideally they'd offer CXL natural roughout, like viberg, but I think it's hard stuff to come by

Natural CXL roughout is no harder to come by then regular smooth natural CXL. It's just the other side of the leather.

I actually don't. I know their natl cxl is 6 oz and the distressed is 10 oz but am not sure on the sand suede

6" Bounty Hunter or Semi Dress
Distressed Roughout
Contrasting smooth leather tongue (maybe British Tan?)
All antique eyelets
Single midsole, natural
700 Vibram outsoles
1/4" lowered block heel
No celastic toe reinforcement, aka "soft toe"

What you guys think?

Distressed Roughout sounds perfect and very rugged. Just what I need...

They should look something like this.

Dope, I'm thinking about doing something similar with a pair of Nicks.

Here are a few other pics that have cought my attention

EDIT: just saw the option of "desert storm" (or "desert sand") roughout; this is probably it for me!

Those are nice. This pair of Nicks has been slaying me the last month or so. I love the sole on these.

is this the distressed roughout? It looks lighter and orange-y in color compare to the previous pics. Basically the color I want. Reminds me of Alden`s snuff suede color

The site I pulled it from says its standard roughout. But honestly I don't know. It does appear to be a shade different than the distressed roughout, though. Like you said; similar to Alden's snuff suede. Or what yuketen and OSB call peanut suede

from other pics I've seen it looks like Harvest Rough Out to me.

That would make sense. Like dried wheat near harvest time smile.gif

Does anyone know how to stretch the width of white's sj boot? Current C width is too small for me..do these leather stretch upon wears or am i doomed?

Stretching width-wise can actually occur, whereas stretching the length is an exercise in futility.  How "too narrow" are they?  Also, what leather?  CXL would be much more likely to stretch easily.

B-Ewing,

Would say they are Harvest RO, another build being put together already? Impressed!

Moja: If they are bareable for a while whilst they break in they will stretch in width, just look at some worn boot pics and you'll see the width difference from new, thick socks and get them wet!
