New as of a couple hours ago.  8" Smoke Jumper lace to toe, rough out.  I have a pair of Semi-Dress on the way.  Only my second pair of Whites in 20 years, I bought my first pair when I was 23 and I'm now 43 so exactly 20 years of service in timber industry.  These will be dedicated work boots so they are going to be ugly in the very near future after the break in.  The SD are going to be for my days off.  I got the lowered full sole on these and the 1/4 lowered on the SD which are being built as we speak.  For those that don't know the lace to toe boot has a wider build last so order one width narrower.  The SD are 10E and these lace to toes are 10D.

Mini14GB, congrats on the new SJs! Badass build. And thx for the note on sizing, as I'm trying to determine which size to order in SDs based, coincidently, on my sizing in lace-to-toe SJs (which I'm a 10D).

Wow, I'm glad that worked out for you.  I was measured and fit at a local boot shop that has been around since the dawn of man.  10E should be a perfect match for you then!!

First time hearing about lower full sole, what exactly is it? Any comparison pictures?

It does not have a built up heel.  The sole is one continuous piece of rubber from toe to heel, there is no stacked up leather heel.  This lowers the heel and mellows the arch support for people with flatter feet.

wish i thought/searched for that i'll try that on my next pair.

I looked for them on Whites's website but couldn't find them with that sole option. There are benefits of going to a local boot shop and placing a order.

I didn't see this sole option on Baker's website either. Support a local boot shop in YOUR community and you'll be helping a neighbor and probably make a friend. My boot guy has same prices as Bakers too.

Baker's has that option on a number of their shoes. It's called the unit vibram lug sole. I think it is less expensive to build because the bootmaker's don't have to do the heel work.

Great looking SJs.  Any pics of your last pair?  Would love to see how they held up over 20 years!
