The top is Nat CXL, second down is British Tan and the bottom one is Brown smooth. The CXL is definately thicker but when both on a boot I can't really tell the difference.
Haven't done a non celastic cap toe as of yet, but have been thinking about one for stock and/ or myself. Think it will be fine with the thicker leathers as the last will give it some lasting shape along with the thickness.

In regards to a non-celastic cap toe, I was thinking that by leather lining the boots, it would even further mitigate long term shape problems. Don't you think? My main objective again is to get the lowest toe profile I can, but maybe it isn't worth it... I gotta imagine someone has done this before, no?
