the 269 is essentially a rubber version of a leather sole, meaning traction is at a minimum.  I would go with the 430 personally on a bounty hunter, but thats me.

i agree 430 the least i would go to is a 700.705

A lot of folks are saying to go with the Indy boot size for the Semi-Dress standard last. Are you guys wearing dress socks or work socks with each boot? I typically wear wool dress socks with my Indy boot, and planned on doing the same if I bought a boot from White's, but I saw that they recommend Smartwool. Currently I don't have any work socks to wear for a tracing, but I've already done one with dress socks on for another maker.

i do half size down on whites and i do the next width up on whites

Are you wearing the same kind of socks on both? Or dress socks on the Indys and work socks on the White's?

I haven't gotten mine yet, but I wear a 10D on the Alden Barrie last and Kyle at Baker's recommended a 9.5E based on my foot tracing / measurements.

Wow, I love these non-standard boots.

 

A few questions please:

 

1. What is the height? (like the no pull tabs)

 

2. Is the last standard? The toe seems quite pronounced.

 

3. Is that a double leather midsole?

 

4. Its a single finish around the edge is it?

 

Given me a great idea for a two tone...all in french calf with perforated toe cap!
