Custom White's Boots ... Thoughts? - Page 82

I didn't not buy them to flip them I was hoping they would fit but the size e just doesn't feel right... What does it matter to you what I sell them for? Custom made they would cost $500 so don't think my price is out of line.

Six pairs but basically just want to at least not lose money... 11d is the perfect size but I have some 10.5e that fit good too thought maybe I could put off a 11e

That is a bold assumption, indeed. Also, the mods should take care of the in-thread classifieds. Beyond that, the guy shitted on his legitimate F/S thread.

Those boots that sell on ebay oftentimes go for more than 300, too, btw.

I know that I'd want that information if I was looking to buy, and so I felt obligated to share it. He can still sell them at that price to an informed buyer.

If you think that fostering ignorance is going to make a stronger market, you need to go retake your econ courses, it all runs on information.

Cheers.

Jamie.

So it's a double leather sole with no midsole? What the difference between a double leather sole and a single midsole + single sole?

They are the same but you replace the bottom leather sole with a vibram/ rubber sole.

Anyone here ever try to order a White's boot without any logos on the outside? Typically I prefer logoless, but I didn't want to offend by asking, if it's not something typically done.

Semi-dress boots don`t have the logo

I don`t think I have seen a BH w/o the upper logo

I think you can request logo-less as a custom option (might be worthwhile to ask Kyle at Baker's...or contact White's CS directly).

That said, I like the logo...and it's fairly subtle, at least on most darker leathers.

thinking about making a pair of white's boots in blue horween chromexcel to wear this summer and so on, but how do you clean blue horween chromexcel leather?

The same as any other Chromexcel? Wipe it off with a damp cloth. Brush with a horsehair brush. Add some conditioner if needed (Venetian Cream, Saphir Renovateur, etc).

Only want to break even! Couldn't care less if I make any money on them.
