Oh, of course you meant that shog[1].gif

I bought them on ebay. White's sells pairs there that I assume are ordered but not picked up for one reason or other under the username whitesriver. I paid about retail but no wait time and shipped direct from White's.

Hey guys, I picked up a pair of Hathorn Explorer Plain-Toe Packers for a decent price awhile back and from what I understand they cannot be rebuilt, which is fine because I only wear them casually. I don't see why they couldn't be re-soled when the time comes though, can anyone confirm?

Ah, yeah. I've been watching there too, but there's only been one pair my size and I didn't like the makeup. You found some good ones, congrats!

Can anyone who has a pair of Semi-Dress in "french calf" leather please tell us about it? How thick and durable is it? How does it age? Does it require a leather liner? etc.

Thx

Is there a synopsis somewhere of all the leather options?

Bull vs. Water Buffalo vs. ...

So many options...

Wow, are these double leather soles with reduced height heel? Personally, I like the proportions...

Can't help on the water buffalo but you can have SD's without celastic toe, softens the shape a bit, which can be nice. Here's a pair: http://www.eastwestapparel.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&path=40&product_id=104

Hi blaster, was it you who asked this on the IH forum as well? The French Calf is a thinner leather and you need to have it lined, a for wear and tear, yet to find out but they are suppose to age beautifully. Here's a pair on a SD last on a smoke jumper/ farmer rancher aesthetic: http://www.eastwestapparel.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&path=40&product_id=103

Cheers.

Any ideas how I can rough up my boots in a short space of time? Especially the suedes? Would putting water on them, and dragging them through mud and sand give them a rough look quickly? Sort of like breaking in denim quickly? Any ideas?

dont do it, it will look foolish.
