Well, in addition to making crab tonight I'm having people over. Belgium beer, sour dough garlic bread, crab and then some good dessert. Last night, stayed late at the gym and then met a friend for dinner and drinks. Tomorrow I will get together with more friends. I miss my wife but I can be totally selfish in deciding what I want to eat, drink or who I want to see or what I want to do and when. Its fun for a few days now and then.

It's even harder now with the baby because I can't just go out and eat and not make a mess at home instead. I generally try to find some company to come over or somewhere to go with her.

I envy you, such a good family man. (0)

I leave the house sooner in the morning. I get more work done while at the office. I go to bed earlier. I eat healthier. I work out longer. I wear the scent she doesn't care much for. I wear the pants she says are too tight. I look at R almost X movies.

I used to stay out late when she's away... but lately the idea of drinking till 3am doesn't appeal to me anymore... now I tend to stay home more when she's not here, and I usually try to go out on a date with my 2 kids.

I ride my bike around town, maybe take the train to visit a couple of shrines or temples (which she has no particular interest in), and go to an izakaya for a drink or two with friends in the evening. Of course, we have a 7-month-old now, so any "away" time is usually the three of us. I might be able to visit some friends in Tokyo later this year, but only provided that we figure out a way to bathe the baby that doesn't require two adults. Maybe once she's able to sit up by herself, we can put a chair in the bathroom so she doesn't have to be held while my wife washes herself?

This is surprisingly fulfilling, especially with a rabbit instead of a dog.

I usually eat Chinese food, she isn't a fran. I try not to go out unsupervised, I have a tendency to drink too much and act a bigger fool than normal.

That's a coincidence, I also usually eat Chinese food!

How does it require two people to bathe a child? I do it by my self all the time.

So, you turn the rabbit into "Chinese food," amirite? I guess if you ate Korean food instead, the dog would do.

Whenever I begin to think being single is no longer for me...I'm reminded how much better it is...for me.

Better question yet, what do you do while she is in the shower? Last time I installed a tie rack, reorganized the closet and cleaned the kitchen.
