So the consensus on the 811's is to size down 1, right?

Although the Eternal 811 feature amazing denim, the fit is pretty relaxed, or "anti-fit." For a given waist size, I found the seat and thighs very generously cut. Here's a post from a different threat showing my size 33 one-wash (the smallest I could button up when trying them on at BiG) before and after extensive tailoring.

Good fit.

That's a good taper job... First one I've seen from them (I go to Robert Schaeffer for all my denim alterations).

Did you go TTS? Or down a size?

I think so, unless you have a big ass. I went TTS on mine and wish that I had sized down 1; even though the waist still fits fine, there is just too much room in the seat after the jeans stretch.

...only concern would be the waist being too tight... Does it stretch much?

Mine didn't have much trouble stretching out in the seat, so I would guess that the waist shouldn't be too hard to stretch either.

What do you guys think about the fit, good or should I size down one more? 883's size 32 o/w

nope, those are perfect. if you went down another size they would be to tight. they will stretch out and be perfect. nice jean.

Yeah, in my experience the waist on the 811 one-wash stretches out a lot, and does it pretty quickly too.

Here are my 883's at a little over 1 month

Introducing Eternal!

Eternal is a cult Japanese denim label from the city of Kurashiki of Okayama Prefecture. Eternal was established in 1997 by the Maeno Corporation as its premiere menswear collection label. Since the 1940's, Maneo has produced quality casual wear and has won high respect for its artisanship including its detailed dying, washing, and sewing techniques. Eternal illustrates Maneo's highest level of craftsmanship passed down from generations of denim making. With our first shipment, we are introducing two of Eternal's signature denims - 883 and 811.

Eternal 14.5oz "Slim Straight" Raw Selvedge Denim - Model 811
* The 811 is Eternal's flagship denim. The fit is slim straight that runs slim in the thigh and top block, has a medium rise, and has a slight taper throughout the leg, yet maintains a straight leg silhouette.
* The fabric is a 14.5oz selvedge which is woven at a low tension giving tremendous depth and irregularities to the surface texture, which also results in excellent vertical fading. It has been soaked one time post production and hang dryed in the sun.
* One wash
* Rope dyed 20+ times to achieve a super dark indigo
* 100% American cotton
* 100% natural cotton thread
* Deer skin patch
* Available in sizes 28-34, 36
* Made in Japan

* The 883 is Eternal's signature tight straight denim that runs slim in the thigh and top block, has a low rise, and has a moderate taper throughout the leg with a slightly smaller leg opening compared with the 811.
* The fabric is a 14.5oz selvedge which is woven at a low tension giving tremendous depth and irregularities to the surface texture, which also results in excellent vertical fading. It has been soaked one time post production and hang dryed in the sun.
