My clothes are larger and thicker and therefore take a whole lot more space.

That's my explanation and I've been sticking to it for a few years.

My girl may have more clothing apparel, but I think the worth of all my clothing is more than hers, I go for quality over quantity

My girlfriend has more clothes, less clothing space, and less shoes. My clothes are likely worth at least twice as much as hers. She's totally cool with it. I may have to marry her one day. :0

We don't live together, but I would say she and I are about even in terms of the amount of clothes.
I moved last spring and while my living area is a little bit smaller, I have a ton of closet space - including a big walk in closet, which of course making her jealous.

Space wise equal but she has a lot of saris which are occasional wear and take up half her space.

I was going to answer this, then I realized that I'm dating a guy. Oh well.

That's why in my apartment I get to use the walk-in closet.
