It says "modern" fit which usually meas slim. We will see.

Could someone PM me on what the overall quality is for saks fifth brand? I don't want to overkill this thread...

I would appreciate some insight on Saks brand top coat quality as well. Especially of the camel 100% cashmere variety.

In any case, I highly recommend this seller. Through no fault of seller, I got a damaged tie. Customer service was excellent, which I thought deserved a post.

You're not from around here are you?

+1 Modern usally means slimmer, as opposed to classic, but any more info on this? I usually need to get US Canali shirts tailored quite a bit, but recently they've come out with slimmer stuff.

As for the quality of the Saks house brand coats, I have a 100% Cashmere one very similar to these from two seasons ago that has held up quite well and still looks new so I'm quite happy with it (they do seem to hop around with who/where all they make their stuff however so take it for what it's worth).

I paid quite a bit more than the OP's asking price, even on steep discount, so seems like quite a deal. Thinking about getting one in another color... What size do those measurements you posted come from OP?

Jared,

Received my coat today, this thing is HUGE! I am a true 44 and that is what I ordered. Ilook like a linebacker.

Also, the shirt is a tent and will be returned. Too bad, as it has beautiful buttons and material.

Just received a shirt - as a reference point, it's slimmer cut than a BB slim fit but isn't "slim" in absolute terms. Fantastic material and buttons. I'll have mine nipped at the sides for $10 and it'll be perfect. All in all a great value and a highly recommended seller.

If anyone bought one of the Saks topcoats in a 44R in black, and it's too big, please PM...I could use one, and am somewhere in between a 44-46.
